While my Nonna was in the hospital, I bought my very first camera with the hope of preserving the moments and memories that suddenly felt far too fleeting.
She taught me the beauty of family — long dinners gathered around the table, loud laughter filling the room, loving people well, and never taking a single moment together for granted. In an Italian family, love was expressed through presence, tradition, hospitality, and the simple act of being together.
During that season, I began documenting everything I could.
The people I loved, ordinary moments that suddenly felt sacred, and the connection that held our family together. After she passed, those photographs became some of my most treasured possessions. They carried emotion, memory, and pieces of her story I could still hold onto.
